Arson attack at house in Eastwood

A HOUSE was set alight in an arson attack in Eastwood in the early hours of Saturday.

Fire crews from Rotherham, Dearne and Elm Lane stations were called to the deliberate blaze on St Ann’s Road at 5am, a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

The front door and living room were involved in the fire.

The crews left the scene at 6.25am, added the spokesperson.

A van was set alight in Bolton in the early hours of Sunday, the spokesperson said.

Firefighters from Dearne station were called to the deliberate fire on Church Street at 1am and left at 1.55am.

A crew from Rotherham station was called to an accidental minibus fire on Bawtry Road, Wickersley, at 11.35pm on Friday.

They left the scene at 12.35am, the spokesperson said.

Fire crews from Rotherham, Elm Lane and Aston stations were called to an accidental fire involving a fuse box on Whitehill Road, Brinsworth, at 7pm last night (Sunday), the spokesperson added.

The crew left the scene at 8pm.
