Arrests after drugs raid at town centre flats

FOUR people were arrested as police swarmed flats near Rotherham town centre and found suspected class A drugs. 

Two warrants were executed in the Wharncliffe Flats area at around 8.30am on Friday (18).

Officers raided addresses in the warrants in Winchester Court and Spring Walk as part of Operation Alligator.

A man and woman in their 20s and a man in his 40s were arrested on suspicion of possessing suspected class A drugs with intent to supply. All three were released under investigation. 

A 43-year-old man, of no fixed abode but from the Rotherham area, was arrested for failing to appear in court and remanded in custody.
