Armed robbers "threatened staff with crowbar and hammer" during masked raid at Rotherham shop
THREE masked raiders threatened staff at a Rotherham shop with a crowbar and a hammer during an armed raid.
Police said the three men had stolen cash in the robbery at the Avondale Store in Avondale Road at 6.30pm last Sunday, before fleeing in a silver people-carrier-type car, possibly a Vauxhall Zafira.
"The suspects are described as being male and all were wearing dark clothing with their hoods up and faces covered," said a police spokeswoman.
