Are you Rotherham's best apprentice?

ARE you Rotherham’s best apprentice? Do you employ the town’s best apprentice?

If so, we want your nomination for our Rotherham Apprentice of the Year 2020 competition, in partnership with the Rotherham Business Growth Board.

For the winners of the contest, there’s a trophy and the prestige of being a winner on offer.

We want as many companies or individuals to nominate themselves or an employee for the awards.

Once the entries are in, we will have a finals event in June when an independent judging panel will select the winners of the Intermediate, Advanced, Higher and Degree Level Apprentice of the Year awards.

Advertiser editor Andrew Mosley said: “The general idea of the awards is to showcase not only the importance of apprenticeships to Rotherham’s businesses and economy, but to highlight just how vital the people who entered this competition are to our town’s future.

“When a business takes on an apprentice it not only benefits itself and the future of the person it has chosen to work with, but the future of Rotherham itself.

“This will be the fifth time we have held the Rotherham Apprentice of the Year competition and we want it to be even better than before.

“The take up in previous years was brilliant and we hope this year’s event will attract even more entries.”

The deadline for entries is Friday May 15, and full details can be found and entries submitted at http://www.rotherhamadvertiser.co.uk/apprentice-of-theyear.htm.

We are also looking for partners (education and training providers and employers) to promote this initiative.

Benefits include association with a new high-profile award, improved brand awareness in the apprentice market, the opportunity to be part of a positive initiative for young people and businesses in Rotherham, and the chance to use the awards logo on your own promotional material.

If you would like to become a sponsorship partner or find out more about the benefits, contact Kim Ollivent on 01709 768169.
