Appeal launched to fund funeral of tragic Mexborough dad Ryan Cole

AN APPEAL has been launched to help fund the funeral of a young dad whose body was found five days after he went missing from his Mexborough home.

Ryan Cole (pictured), who had a son named Romeo and daughter called Lilly, would have turned 22 on Tuesday.

He had asked friends on Facebook to donate to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital instead of buying him birthday gifts - raising £150 for the charity.

Relatives appealed through the social network for Mr Cole to get in touch after he was reported missing on Sunday, November 25.

They said in their pleas for help finding him that the young dad suffered from depression and self-harm.

Officers found Mr Cole’s body near Mexborough station on Friday.

A GoFundMe page at tinyurl.com/ryancfuneral -- set up by Mr Cole’s mum Chammy Marie Taylor -- aims to raise £2,000 to pay for his funeral in Leeds.
