Appeal for new hospital governors

TIME is running out to nominate candidates for the board of Rotherham Hospital.

Candidates for the The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust Council of Governors can be put forward until tomorrow.

A trust spokeswoman said it wanted to hear from members of the public, patients and their families, who would like to play a part in the organisation's ongoing transformation, to consider becoming a public governor.

The vacancies available this year are:

q Wentworth North - two vacancies

(the area includes Hoober, Swinton, Wath, Harley, Wentworth, Brampton, Upper Haugh)

q Wentworth Valley - one vacancy

(Hellaby, Maltby, Wickersley, Flanderwell, Bramley, Listerdale).

q Rotherham South - two vacancies

(Boston Castle, Rotherham East and Sitwell, Town Centre, Eastwood, Canklow, Moorgate, Whiston)

q “Rest of England” - one vacancy

(All areas not within the Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council boundaries)

q Rotherham North - two vacancies
