Appeal for hedgehog help “pricks” consciences

A “HOGS-PITAL” for injured hedgehogs saw a spike in its funding thanks to sheltered housing staff and residents.

The team at Highfield Court in Swinton held a raffle for Wath Hedgehog Rescue and raised a whopping £220 to help prickly customers in need.

Kind-hearted Debbie Harrison runs the “hog-spital” at her home in Wath to rehabilitate and rescue sick and injured hedgehogs.

She has a team of ten volunteers who care and rescue hedgehogs and relies on public donations.

Debbie is pictured right with resident Lesley Davison (left), who suggested the fundraiser.
