Appeal after man “stabbed” at Edlington fireworks display

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered stab wounds during a confrontation in Edlington.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered stab wounds during a confrontation outside a social club in Edlington. 

The 21-year-old man was stabbed after he was involved in an altercation with a second man at Yorkshire Miners’ Welfare Club at around 9pm on Wednesday, November 3.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said the injured man had received hospital treatment and since been discharged.

Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident number 944 of November 3.
