Appeal after jewellery stolen from heritage centre

DETECTIVES have released an image of jewellery which four hooded thieves stole from a heritage centre.

Four offenders, wearing hooded jackets and dark clothing, forced their way through the main gate of Elsecar Heritage Centre at around 1am on November 2, a police spokesperson said.

It is believed the offenders were travelling in a dark grey Citreon Dispatch and made their way to the antiques centre where they smashed a window to get in, the spokesperson added.

They took jewellery, some of which is pictured above, and a safe.

Police said they had carried out extensive enquiries to find those involved but had released the image in the hope that someone might recognise the items.

Anyone with information that could help, or anyone who has seen the jewellery for sale, should call police on 101, quoting incident number 36 of November 2.
