Allotment shed damaged by fire

Firefighters spent about 45 minutes at Moorland Crescent, Whiston, from 4.15pm.

The blaze was accidental, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue confirmed.

Hay bales were set alight in a field in Kimberworth Park on Friday evening.

Crews were called to the deliberate blaze off Becket Crescent shortly before 9.25pm and spent about two hours at the scene.

Meanwhile, rubbish was deliberately set alight on Cavendish Road, Holmes, at 1.10am today (Monday).
