All-night battle to put out blazing wood chippings
TONNES of wood chippings went up in flames after fire broke out at a Rotherham recycling firm.
Fire crews attended W. Maw Recycling, Steel Street, Holmes at around 7.30pm last night and were still damping down the blaze this morning.
Crews from Rotherham, Elm Lane, Darnall, Maltby, Aston and Edlington Fire stations all attended the blaze which is understood to have been sparked accidentally.
