Alleged attacker in court accused of stabbing man in bottom

A MAN has been charged with assault and possessing an offensive weapon after allegedly stabbing a man in the bottom.

Benjamin White (33) appeared before magistrates in Sheffield on Friday over the incident in Aston on April 24.

A police spokeswoman said: "It is reported that at around 4.40pm that day, the victim was on Cantilupe Crescent when he was held down and stabbed. He suffered an injury to his buttock."

White, of Pike Road, Brinsworth, has also been charged with aggravated vehicle taking following an incident on 12 January.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on the assault and weapons charges on June 29.
