Air rifle robber holds up filling station

A MASKED gunman snatched cash in a terrifying raid on a petrol station in Dinnington on Friday night.

A man carrying what appeared to be an air rifle demanded money from the till at the Outgang Lane garage at around 8.20pm.

A cashier handed over the cash and the robber was seen fleeing from the service station in a blue Ford C-Max car.

The cashier, a 23-year-old man from the local area, was not hurt during the incident.
The description of the offender is that he is in his late teens, about 5ft 10in tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black baseball hat, grey hooded top, a dark scarf across his face and dark trousers.

Anyone with information, or saw what happened, to contact DC Rachel Morton on 0114 220 2020 and quote reference 1077 of 7 October 2011, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
