Air ambulance called after child (8) injured in Dinnington collision

A CHILD suffered a punctured lung after being involved in a car accident.

The eight-year-old was involved in a collision with a black Vauxhall Astra on Eastern Avenue in Dinnington at 6.11pm on Monday.

Police confirmed the driver had remained at the scene after the incident.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance landed at the Dinnington Resource Centre car park to provide on-scene support at around 7pm.

However, the child was transported to hospital by road ambulance.

The Advertiser understands the child suffered minor injuries but was recovering well in hospital today.
