Advice on offer for Rotherham businesses at National Apprenticeship Week event

BUSINESSES can find out more about recruiting apprentices at an event next week.

The Source Skills Academy at Meadowhall is hosting an open event next Wednesday to mark National Apprenticeship Week.

Paul Johnson, senior economic policy manager at the SCR, will be sharing Brexit advice for businesses at the Question Time Skills Event, which is being run in association with Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber.

The event is free to attend and aims to equip businesses with information on all aspects of apprenticeship funding, recruitment and engagement, including tailored programmes and embedded workplace learning.

There will be the chance to hear from bosses and apprentices, as well as Conor Moss, Sheffield Hallam University's Director of Education and Employer Partnerships, and Andrew Denniff, chief executive of Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber.
