A57 diversion for dual carriageway work

MOTORISTS are being warned of traffic disruption due to a £14.7m road improvement scheme.

The B6463 Todwick Road will be closed at its junction with the A57 at Todwick Crossroads from January 7 until the end of April.

The closure is part of work to turn the A57 into a dual carriageway from Todwick crossroads to junction 31 of the M1.

Traffic will be diverted via the B6060 through Dinnington and North Anston.

Work on the scheme, which are being carried out by Ringway Infrastructure Services, began in September and are due to be completed in early 2014.
