87-year-old pedestrian dies after collision on ring road
AN 87-YEAR-OLD man has died after being seriously injured in a road collision in Rotherham yesterday.
Road policing officers are now appealing for witnesses, dash cam footage and information following the fatal road traffic collision on Centenary Way at the junction with Drummond Street at 1.54pm yesterday (Wednesday).

Hide AdA spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “A silver Volkswagen Passat was travelling along that road when it was involved in a collision with a pedestrian.
“The pedestrian, an 87-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Rotherham Hospital by ambulance.
“Sadly, a short time later he was pronounced dead. His family have been informed and are being supported by officers.
“Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, may have dash-cam of the collision or the vehicle prior to the collision happening, or anyone with information that can assist with their enquiries.
“Please call 101 quoting incident number 473 of March 2."
