Laura Hicken and Steph Hydes run the Thurcroft Toddler Group at the Gordon Bennett Memorial Hall every Wednesday.

Steph said: “The group has been going for a very long time — 14 years — and in the last two years it’s been run by a few others.

“But since me and Laura have taken it on, it now has the most numbers it’s ever seen.”

Steph said she wanted to thank the owners of charity shop Serenity S66, who donated £300 towards rent and new toys.

She said: “We have a range of kids come, from newborn and up to four years old.

“We do lots of crafts and have a baby area and lots of different toys for them to play with.

“It’s also a great way for people to meet and make new friends — this is whereas that’s how me and Laura met a few years ago.”

The toddler group meets from 1pm to 2.45pm every Wednesday, except during school holidays.
