£200k revamp for school canteen

A SCHOOL has spent £200,000 on a new kitchen and canteen.

Wales High School students are now tucking in to their lunch in new catering and dining facilities installed over the summer break.

Working with ABM Catering, the school said it had has developed a balanced and nutritious range of food that appeared to be popular with the students.

A school spokesman said Wales had defied cuts in new school building programmes across the country by investing in major developments to make it “an exciting environment for its young people to thrive.”
