200 jobs promised in multi-million Earth Centre plans
The former eco-centre, which closed in 2004 because it failed to attract sufficient visitors, has been sold to Kingswood, a company specialising in educational and adventure activity services.
The company is planning to make a multi-million pound investment to transform the site into a flagship activity centre for schoolchildren.

Hide AdDoncaster Council, which is not revealing how much KIngswood paid, says there were five bids for the site.
The centre opened in 1999 on the site of a former colliery at a cost of £55 million, but was closed in 2004 after failing to attract enough people.
When the centre went bankrupt most of the land passed back to Doncaster Council, with some reverting to the Millennium Commission.
Kingswood aim to create around 200 new jobs, including dedicated apprenticeship schemes for colleges.
The sale is subject to planning permission.
