VIDEO: Love Actually surprise for nurse Beth

A NURSE has enjoyed an early festive treat in the style of a much-loved Christmas film as thanks for her hard work in the community.

Beth Stoyles (26), of Wath, who will be working on Christmas Day, was selected by online takeaway website, hungryhouse, after her boyfriend entered her into a national competition for deserving Brits.

Beth was surprised by Oliver Yonchev (27), who was disguised as a delivery driver, at her front door in the same way that Mark does to Juliet in Love Actually.

She also scooped £100 of takeaway vouchers.

Beth, who works at Rotherham Hospital, said: “I'm working all over Christmas like I usually do, so to get a surprise like this was really special.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw Oliver at my front door clutching giant white cards and a camera crew, so I got a huge shock!

“But it was worth it when I tucked into the delicious takeaway he brought me.”

Beth is one of the estimated 250,000 people working in the British health services over Christmas.

Oliver said: “Beth is working crazy hard while I’m enjoying the festivities so I thought it would be nice to surprise her.

“Being a Chicken Chow Mein fan she loved the gesture.”
