Andy Flowers, resort manager at Gulliver’s Valley, said: “It was lovely to welcome the group of Ukrainian children and their families to Gulliver’s Valley.

“They’ve all been through such a difficult time and so it’s great to be able to provide them with a little respite and a day of fun at the theme park, enjoying our rides and attractions.”

Philip Staton, president of the Rotary District 1220 E-Club, said: “So many of us take a day out at a theme park for granted, but for this group it really means the world to be able to relax and have fun in the company of other Ukrainian people who have been through the same shared traumatic experience.”
