UKIP not racist
I HAVE plenty of friends and colleagues amongst ethnic minorities. A number of them are attracted to UKIP policies (including on immigration). The problem is that on the one hand, they like what they see, but on the other, they are constantly being misled
Firstly, UKIP has no negative feelings whatsoever to current immigrants who are honest and who are lawfully in the UK. The party points out the downside of further immigration. If its opponents can’t tell the difference between immigrants and immigration — most voters can.
Secondly, as Amjad Bashir (a UKIP MEP) can testify, anyone from ethnic minorities who believes in simple common sense is welcome to join UKIP.
