Teenage driver and passenger injured in M1 crash

A TEENAGER suffered life-threatening injuries after the car he was travelling in when was in a serious collision on a motorway in the early hours of this morning.

The man was the passenger in a VW Golf which hit the centre reservation on the M1 this morning.

The driver, also a 19-year-old man, suffered injuries police said were not thought to be life-threatening. 

No other vehicles were involved in the incident between junction 37 and 38 at 12.48am.

Officers from the Road Policing Group are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, has dashcam footage or saw the car prior to the incident to get in touch.
