Highways in good hands as new apprentices sign on


FIVE apprentices are on the right road for training with Rotherham Borough Council’s highways department.
The team, aged 17 to 26, are based at the Hellaby depot and taking part in formal learning though Doncaster College.
Ryan Herrington, Alex Booth, Ollie Snow, Christopher Crerar and Jordan Thrall are the latest cohort in a scheme that has seen seven young people join RMBC permanently.

Hide AdCouncil leader Cllr Chris Read said: “I was really impressed by the enthusiasm and commitment of the apprentices.
“By investing in these young people, the council will ensure that the future of our highways is in safe hands.”
