Disabled parking badge cheat fined
WRONGLY using her mother’s disabled parking badge landed a Rotherham woman with a £35 fine and £300 costs from the town’s magistrates.
Tazeem Akhtar Alam (47) of Brunswick Road parked her Toyota on December 19 and displayed a disabled parking badge.
A parking enforcement officer checked the details and discovered the badge belonged to Alam’s mother who was contacted and who had not used it all that day.
Alam, who pleaded guilty by post, was also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.
