Closures on Parkway to go on until late August

M1 junction 33 slip roads and the A630 Rotherham Gateway will also be affected by the closures from July 29 to August 1 and from August 5 to 8.

Further closures take place from August 12 to 15 and August 19 to 22 as the £46 million project adding an extra Parkway lane continues.

Simon Moss, Rotherham Council’s assistant director for planning, regeneration and transportation, said: “The scheme is aiming to make this gateway better for drivers, however this means some weekend closures in order for the next phase of the works to go ahead.”
