Christmas and New Year bus and rail changes

COMMUTERS face changes to public transport over the festive season.

South Yorkshire Transport Executive (SYPTE) has announced details of changes to bus and railway services. They are as follows:

Christmas Eve

Saturday service on most routes with last departures between 6pm and 7.30pm.

There will be a weekday service on First X22 and Stagecoach 19, 19A and 19B.

Christmas Day

There will be no bus or rail services on December 25.

Boxing Day

There will be no bus or rail services on December 26.

Sunday, December 27

There will be a Sunday service on buses and trains on Sunday, December 27.

Bank Holiday Monday, December 28

There will be a Sunday service on buses on Monday, December 28 and a weekday service on the railways.

Tuesday, December 29 to Thursday, December 31

There will be a Saturday service on buses between December 29 and December 31, with the exception of First X22 and Stagecoach 19, 19A and 19B - which will run a weekday service.

The last departures of bus services will be between 6pm and 7.30pm.

Trains will operate a weekday service until 8pm on New Year's Eve.

Friday, January 1

There will be no bus services on New Year's Day.

Trains will operate a normal Friday service with the cancellation of some early morning journeys.

Saturday, January 2

Bus and train services will return to normal from January 2.
