The suspects, one of whom was armed with a saw, left the station with £85 and headed towards the junction with Clifton Hill at around 10pm.

The first suspect is described as a white man with dark bushy eyebrows, which could be seen under the balaclava.

They were both wearing dark clothing.

The robbery comes just six days after an incident at 9.45pm on September 23, when a balaclava-wearing man entered the same garage armed with a spanner and stole £300 from the till.

Police have now released pictures taken from CCTV footage shot inside the filling station and believe both incidents to be connected.
