TICKHILL: wind turbines for farm

Limpool Farm off Stripe Road at Tickhill is the latest location for two new wind turbines.

The farm, the property of local landowner Richard Crowe, has become the latest business in the town to produce its own electricity using wind power. Any surplus will be fed into the National Grid.

Limpool Farm is the third business in the town to harness the power of the wind.

The Brookfield family at Stoney Brigg Farm, Worksop Road, were the first to install a wind turbine.

This was followed by two turbines installed by Tickhill businessmen Ray Miles and Mike Hill at their DMR Accident Repair Centre at the Plumtree Farm Industrial Estate.
