Three teens charged over Craig Nelson murder

THREE teenagers have been charged with the murder of Rotherham man Craig Nelson.

The 15-year-old boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Rotherham Youth Court on Thursday charged with murdering the 34-year-old.

They will appear before Sheffield Crown Court at a later date.

Mr Nelson, who was also known as Craig Preston, was found dead on August 22 on the moors off the A628 at Woodhead Tunnels.

A post-mortem examination concluded he died as a result of head injuries.

A 41-year-old man and 23-year-old woman have also been charged with murder. They have been remanded in custody pending further court appearances.

A 15-year-old boy and girl who were arrested in connection with the investigation have been released from bail.
