Three crews attend Parkgate flat fire

THREE fire crews attended a fire in an empty ground-floor flat in Parkgate overnight.

Firefighters from Dearne, Elm Lane and Edlington stations were called to the flat on Rawmarsh Hill, Parkgate, at 8.40pm.

The fire is believed to have started accidentally in the kitchen area, said a spokesperson from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.

The crews left the scene at 10.20pm.
