Theft from kindergarten

THREE distinct small bikes for young children have been stolen from a Rotherham kindergarten.

The theft took place over the weekend (March 14-15) and was discovered on Monday morning.

The bikes, worth £200 each, were in a shed bought with funds raised by parents which was built to house the children’s bikes so they could access them more easily.

The thieves were unable to snatch other heavier bikes from the shed at Grange Kindergarten on Broom Lane.

Manager Mandy Rattenbury said the small bikes are red and black and bear the Viking brand.

She said: “You cannot buy them in a shop so if anyone sees them on a street they are ours.”

The police are investigating the incident.
