Theatre group wants new faces

WOULD-BE actors and actresses are being sought by a Rotherham area theatre group.

Thurcroft Theatre Group holds sessions every Wednesday at the Gordon Bennett Memorial Hall in Thurcroft where members currently rehearsing songs from musicals including Jersey Boys and Guys and Dolls.

Members are also practising Elvis songs and a selection of numbers from Disney soundtracks.

As well as singing, the group performs comedy sketches, variety shows and solo numbers.

The year will culminate with a week-long show from November 14 at the memorial hall on Green Arbour Road.

Producer Susan Bowskill said: “We’d welcome anyone from any age group who has a passion for performing.

“You don’t need to have any experience, just be able to hold a tune.
