Teenagers held over vandalism spree

THREE teenagers were arrested for causing £500 damage in Rotherham town centre and trying to steal alcohol.

Two of them tried taking vodka and whisky from Asda at Dalton but were spotted by security on March 12.

They joined two others and were seen later on CCTV at Ship Hill causing £250 damage to a takeaway.

One was caught while climbing onto the roof of Centenary Markets where vent ducts, a canopy and lighting were damaged.

A 17-year-old male was arrested for theft and damage. Another 17-year-old male was arrested for damage and an 18-year-old man arrested for theft.
