Taxi driver escapes ban to save job

A MOTORIST in court on a dangerous driving charge was spared a ban—because he would lose his job as a taxi driver.

William Coyle (55) admitted carrying a front seat passenger with a child on her lap and was ordered to pay £250 at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court.

But Coyle, of New Winterwell, escaped without a disqualification after the bench decided that there were mitigating circumstances regarding his employment.
