Tabletop networking date

ENTREPRENEURS will be encouraged to scribble their ideas on a tablecloth as a successful networking event makes a welcome return.

Rotherham Enterprise Board’s Tablecloth Enterprise event is back for a fourth year of bringing the borough’s businesses together, with Swinden House Conference Centre in Moorgate playing host on October 12.

A spokeswoman said: “Tablecloth Enterprise events have been extremely successful in the past, offering Rotherham-based fledgling businesses a fantastic opportunity to take part in ‘speed coaching’ sessions with successful Rotherham entrepreneurs.

“The event offers pre-start and early stage businesses the opportunity to explore their business concept with experienced entrepreneurs in a relaxed and informal setting.

“Discussions and thoughts are written on a paper tablecloth and by the end of the session businesses will have refined their business ideas and will have a tablecloth full of exciting notes and ideas to take home, follow up and explore.”
