'Star girl' Jordan reaching for skies in 30km trek for beloved brother
Jordan Mangnall is taking part in Trek for CALM with McFly pop star for a second year
A shop manager who last year took part in a national charity's 30km trek led by McFly musician Danny Jones is undertaking the “incredible” event again this year to raise funds for and awareness of suicide prevention in aid of her beloved brother.

Jordan Mangnall – whose younger brother Tyler, passed away two years ago - opted to sign up for the CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) Trek with Danny Jones last year and described it as a “life-changing experience” and one she can't wait to repeat.
The 29-year-old from East Herringthorpe said: “My little brother Tyler was always a big advocate for talking about mental health and he was a fan of a lot of celebrities that did exactly that - Tyler loved YouTubers Yogscast and Lewis Brindley of Yogscast is a CALM ambassador.
“Star Girl is a track by McFly who I am a fan of and Tyler used to call me Star Girl because of my love of the stars.
“So when I saw the trek was hosted by Danny Jones I took it as a sign and knew I had to do it.
“They actually played that song when I finished last year's trek and Danny sang along to it as he gave me a cuddle, so it's now even more special to me!
“Last year, we trekked through the peaks.
“We walked 30km through the countryside, crying, laughing, sharing stories and celebrating CALM and fighting for a world where suicide is not the only way out.
“It was life-changing and incredible and I can't wait to do it all again on September 19, in the Chilterns.”

Jordan – who runs the Jaded Heart fantasy and alternative giftware sore in Rotherham town centre - said: “As with last year, I am walking in memory of my beloved brother, Tyler.
“But I am also walking for myself this year - for the person I am growing to be in his absence, the warrior against misery that I am striving to become.
“So far, we've raised over £6,000 in memory of Tyler and that's thanks to support from the local community including Rotherham Titans.
“We even hosted one of our fundraising events, a charity music quiz, at the Titans Rugby Club just a couple of weeks ago which was absolutely wonderful.
“I can't wait to get back out on the trek again to raise more money - every step we take will be one step closer to a better world where people talk more about mental health issues.
“When we talk about physical heath issues and people understand more they become less scary – we need to do the same with mental health.”
