Staffordshire terriers blamed for vicious attack on Rotherham woman's pet

A WOMAN has warned other pet-lovers to watch out for a pair of rampaging Staffordshire bull terriers which savaged her dog in Herringthorpe Valley Park.

“Now they have tasted blood they will attack again,” said Rotherham Hospice volunteer Jenny Ainsworth, who suffered leg injuries in the incident.

People like that should not be allowed to have animals.”

Pensioner Jenny’s pet, Lady, was badly bruised and covered in bite marks after the attack.

Police say they are looking for a stocky white man with no teeth and a chubby blonde woman in connection with the attack, which happened last Thursday.

Witnesses are asked to call police on 101 or the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999.
