Special third birthday for awesome foursome

WELL, look how they’ve grown...

Rotherham’s history-making quaduplets celebrated their third birthday in style with a slap-up feast designed for their own very distinctive tastes.

Caroline, Darcy, Alexis and Elisha Clark were born prematurely at 30 weeks to Justin and Christine Clark in March, 2013 - becoming the first quads born in the UK from a single embryo.

Their dietary requirements make the simplest of meals a challenge and the girls have spent weeks in hospital due to their intolerances.

But supermarket giant Asda responded to dad Justin’s praise on social media for their range of intolerance-friendly foods by treating them to a third birthday party at the family’s Brinsworth home, complete with bonnet making and Easter egg hunting.

Mum Christine said: “It really was a celebration to remember and we are extremely grateful for Asda stepping in to help us throw the girls a really special party.

“Shop bought cakes are out of the question for our children, but we were all delighted with the ‘free-from’ jam tart tower Asda made especially for the party.”
