Sooty set to sweep into town

THE nation’s favourite bear will bring his new family-friendly show to Rotherham right in time for the half-term holiday.

Sooty Show Live UK Tour is coming to Rotherham Civic Theatre for two showings at 11am and 2.30pm on Monday, February 24.

Sooty will be joined by his canine chum Sweep, panda friend Soo and host Richard Cadell, for the show which promises “magic, mischief and mayhem”.

The action will centre on Sooty’s birthday party but things don’t go to plan as Sooty and Sweep get messy baking the cake.

Soo can’t decide what to wear but they all enjoy visits from party guests Butch the bulldog and Ramsbottom the snake.

Sooty, who is enjoying his 65th year in showbiz, said: “I’m really looking forward to meeting Sooty fans old and new and I can’t wait to squirt the mums and dads with my water pistol.”

Tickets are £12 for adults, £10 for children and family tickets are £38 (two adults and two children or one adult and three children).
