Simple ways to save and boost profits

ROTHERHAM businesses are being invited to find out how they can increase their profits by changing the way they use their water, energy and waste.

Business Link, CO2Sense, and WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) are running two free workshops to help businesses access these opportunities and gain financial benefits.

Reports from Defra suggest that businesses in the region could save £553 million through low or no cost changes.

The workshop on December 7 at The Source, Sheffield, is designed to show businesses what these changes are and how they can be made.

Katie Harvey, from CO2Sense Yorkshire, said: “There are real savings to be made and we want to help businesses in Rotherham make the most of them.

“On average, a typical business can save around 20 per cent on energy, 50 per cent on water and up to £1,000 per employee on waste by making simple changes.”
