Rubbish and bins set alight in the Dearne Valley

Dearne firefighters were called out to a rubbish fire on Goldthorpe Green, Goldthorpe, at 8.15pm and left the scene after just ten minutes.

Then in Darfield, a Dearne crew were deployed out to College Terrace at 10.20pm to two wheelie bins and a mattress ablaze.

Both fires were believed to be deliberate, said a spokeswoman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
