Rotherham’s young politicians plan to tackle community’s problems
The group aims to give a voice to the town’s young people and help them shape their community.
Among their plans for this school year are work with Rotherham’s Looked After Children’s Council (LACC) and young people using the Rush House charity to create an educational film celebrating the town and its diverse population.

Hide AdThe teenagers also want to battle back against negative body image, raise awareness of water safety amongst children and make recommendations for improvements to public transport.
The Youth Cabinet unveiled its 2016/17 manifesto at the Town Hall to a gathering of guests including the Mayor of Rotherham, Cllr Lyndsay Pitchley.
The group is also out to recruit new members and encourage more young people to have a say through the Your Voice initiative.
