MEET the Man of Steel’s little brother.
Engineers at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre at Catcliffe have made a miniature version of the £2.7m steel sculpture planned to overlook the M1 at Kimberworth.
The model was cut out of polyurethane resin using ultra-modern technology and will be coated in stainless steel before going on tour to help raise awareness of the project which is intended to pay tribute to South Yorkshire’s steel and coal heritage.
