The campaign was launched by the National Pensioners' Convention.

RPAG has also contacted Rotherham Hospital’s chief executive and chairman and Cllr John Doyle, Rotherham Borough Council Cabinet member for adult social care, for support.

Part of the campaign is the Dignity Code, which aims to uphold the rights of older people as they become less able to care for themselves.

It requires that an individual’s wishes and values are respected and care is adapted to ensure their comfort and consideration.
