Rotherham voluntary group launches community awards

Voluntary Action Rotherham has organised a celebration of initiatives which have made a significant difference in the borough.

Nominations are being sought for the best volunteer, volunteer aged under 25 and project.

VAR chief executive Janet Wheatley said: “Rotherham’s Community Achievement Awards are a special celebration.

“They recognise the significant work of people and projects in our borough who go that extra mile to support local people and communities.”

Those shortlisted will attend an awards ceremony and dinner at the Carlton Park Hotel in November.
