Rotherham teacher suspended for two years

A ROTHERHAM teacher has been suspended from the classroom for “unacceptable professional conduct.”

Lorna Stroud, who was head of sociology at Wath Comprehensive School during 2007 and 2008, was given a two-year suspension order by The General Teaching Council's Professional Conduct Committee.

The committee found Ms Stroud "guilty of unacceptable professional conduct" which included lying about attending a course.

The investigation also found that she failed to manage course work and follow examination procedures as well as failing to adhere to the school’s absence policy.
