Rotherham man vanishes on way to work

POLICE have issued an appeal for help in finding a 31-year-old man who has been missing since Tuesday.

Mark Holland last seen leaving for work from his home address on Grange View Road, Kimberworth, at about 4.30am.

He was riding his bicycle to his workplace in Colwall Street, Attercliffe, and his normal route would take him along Meadowbank Road and Meadowhall Road. Mr Holland was due home at 7pm that evening and when he did not return, his family called the police.

A spokeswoman said: “It has been established that he did not arrive at work, but bank records show that he used a cash-point machine at the Co-op on Upper Wortley Road at about 4.50am.

“He is a white man, about 5ft 10ins tall with a medium build.

“He has dark brown hair, thinning on top and a dark brown beard.”

Mr Holland was last seen wearing blue waterproof cycle gear but no helmet and was riding a black Rock Rider mountain bike with red forks.

The spokeswoman said that officers were concerned about Mr Holland’s welfare and appealed for anyone who may have seen him after 4.30am on Tuesday to contact the police immediately on 101 and quote reference: CX/43/2012.
