Rotherham leads way with Virgin Media's 100mb broadband
ROTHERHAM today became the first town in Yorkshire to receive the UK’s fastest broadband, according to supplier Virgin Media.
The ultrafast 100Mb broadband service has now go on sale for the first time in Rotherham, making the town one of the fastest internet locations in the UK.
Virgin Media has now passed one million homes as it rolls out the country's fastest broadband across its entire next generation cable network.
The service gives residents access to over 16 times the average national internet speed, allowing users to download an entire music album in as little as five seconds.
